Pakistani jets fly over Siachen, but Indian airspace untouched

One day after India launched "punitive fire assaults" on Pakistani military outposts along the Line of Control, jets from Islamabad flew over Siachen, reported media. Zee News quoted Pakistan Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, who said Pakistan has activated all its forward airbases in response to Indian "threats". However, Indian Air Force sources confirmed there was no violation of Indian airspace.

According to reports, Aman visited the forward airbase in Skardu on May 24. He interacted with pilots and other staff and supervised exercises, as a squadron operated different flights. Aman also flew a Mirage jet himself.

On May 23, the Indian Army said it is carrying out "punitive fire assaults" on Pakistani military outposts that were assisting cross-border infiltrators into India. "Recent actions in Naushera have caused damage to Pakistan army posts," Major General Ashok Narula said. The Indian Army "proactively dominates" the LoC, Narula added, iterating peace in Jammu and Kashmir is the motive.
